Now that I’m more or less done with the first two episodes of the Tracking Jane series and have quarantined the first draft of the third episode before I start editing it with fresh eyes, I got the inkling that some of the backstory in Jane McMurtry’s recovery needs to come out.

I am currently noodling with portraying some of Jane McMurtry’s early struggles as a prequel to Shadow-7. To that end, I’ve put down a few words down to see where they lead. So far, it looks like this story will be less action-based and more introspective, focusing on Jane’s inner turmoil and struggle to make her way in her up-turned life.

To inspire me, I went ahead and mocked up the book cover. What do you think? For those of you who have read Shadow-7, what are some details in Jane’s background that you would like to know?
