If it is true that we are all works in progress, the writer never ceases to have a #WIP going. Now that I’ve completed 4 episodes of the Tracking Jane series, and though I have a fifth one rattling in my brain, I am going back to some unfinished business in my Our Cyber World series.
Beisbol Libre is one of those stories whose ending I know, and yet, I haven’t had the gumption to complete. Well, no more. I’m going to push for the next month or so (I’m that close), to get it done. To build in some external stimuli, I’ve decided to post some of the early chapters as I revise them. You can check them out at Wattpad if you want to get an early-rough preview.
What is Beisbol Libre about? Well, a would-be-defector Cuban baseball player turns intelligence officer, then flips and spies for the Americans in exchange for helping his brother defect. Since that isn’t complicated enough, the Iranians, the Israelis and a drug cartel have to jump into the sordid mix.
Tracking Jane series fans, don’t despair. Tahoe-1 will come out soon (within two weeks, as the plan goes), and https://www.eduardosuastegui.com/welcome/tracking-jane-series/#Brownie will not tarry long after that. Rumor has it that these two episodes will intersect with Our Cyber World. How? Hmm. That would be telling. Suffice it to say some characters from Our Cyber World will make some appearances, and some geographic locations might also coincide… perhaps even with Beisbol Libre. Which might explain why I needed to set it aside for a while until things hashed out for Jane and her dogs.
